About Valley Cottage

Valley Cottage is in Rockland County, NY, and covers a total area of just over 4 1/2 square miles. The population, at last count, was roughly 9040 people. In 1831, the Knickerbocker Ice Company was established here. The house of their first female employee, Josephine Hudson, is a historical landmark in the area. In fact, there are numerous interesting spots to visit if you're a history buff. Old-time orchestra conductor/singer/musician/record company executive/record producer Mitch Miller hails from this area. Actor Jack Klugman and other celebrities also lived here at one time or another.

  2. On Old Mill Road, turn left
  3. On Snake Hill Road, turn left
  4. On North Palisades Center Dr., turn right
  5. On Palisades Center Dr., turn left
  6. Merge to the left onto I-287 E/I-87 S
  7. At the fork, keep right to stay on I-87 S. Follow NY City/Saw Mill Pkwy. S signs
  8. Toward Cross County Parkway/Mile Square Road, take exit 4
  9. On Central Park Avenue, merge
  10. For the Cross County Parkway ramp, take a slight right to Bronx River Parkway
  11. Follow signs (keep left) for Bronx Parkway/Sprain Parkway
  12. At the fork, keep right to stay on exit 6. Follow Bronx River Parkway/Sprain Brook Parkway signs
  13. At the fork, keep right. Follow Bronx Pkwy. S signs and merge onto Bronx River Parkway
  14. Merge, via exit 4, onto Cross Bronx Expressway toward George Washington Bridge/Throgs Neck Bridge/I-95
  15.  Via the ramp on the left, merge onto I-95 N/Cross Bronx Expressway to New Haven
  16. At the fork, keep right on Cross Bronx Expressway. Follow Interstate 295 S./Throgs Neck Bridge signs
  17. Onto Interstate 295 S, continue
  18. To merge onto Cross Island Parkway, take exit 8
  19. The Long Island Expressway E, take exit 30
  20. Follow signs (keep left) for Long Island Expressway/I-495/Eastern Long Island. Onto I-495 E./Long Island Expressway, merge
  21. Toward Lakeville Road/Community Drive, take exit 33
  22. On S. Service Rd., merge
  23. On Community Drive, turn left
  24. On Northern Blvd. E, turn right and the dealership will be on your right
